Scheduling and Delays:

Triad Lawn Care will provide service in a timely fashion on a regular schedule. We operate our mowing service on a route basis, starting at the top of our route list on Monday and working through the route until the end of the week, grouping customers together based on geographical location. Extra services will be performed as time allows, sometimes during the mowing visit, sometimes at the end of the week. We will attempt to schedule you for service in approximately the same two-day time frame every week. However, sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise that may delay your weekly service (i.e. - adverse weather conditions, equipment malfunctions, illness, etc.) When we miss a day, for any reason, we pick up where we left off. Scheduling delays will be updated on the website as well as on the voice mail at (336) 420-2491. We do sometimes mow in the rain as long as the rain is light and the ground is not saturated to the point where the mowers will do damage. It is very rare that we will mow in the rain, so a general rule of thumb is if its raining or has rained overnight we more than likely will delay mowing.
Call Offs:
If for some reason during the season you feel that your lawn does not need service, you must notify us at least 2 days ahead of your scheduled mowing, either via the voice mail or email. Also, if you are having work done to your house or in your yard that will interfere with your lawn service, please notify us ahead of time.
Grass Length:
Your lawn estimate is good for up to 6 inches of grass length. If your lawn is growing more than 6 inches between mowings we may have to increase the frequency of mowing to compensate. Excess grass length adversely affects our equipment, and the quality of the cut. With basic mowing service clippings are spread on the lawn. We use special mulching blades to shred clippings as much as possible. Contrary to popular belief clippings are good for your lawn, provided they don't cover it to the point of shielding light from the grass. As they breakdown they fertilize the existing grass. We do bag clippings as a special service added to basic mowing if a customer requests. Bagging clippings requires additional time and will require additional charges over and above basic mowing service.
Pet Owners:
Pet owners please pick up after your animals. Cleaning animal waste off our equipment is not a favorite chore for us. Excessive animal waste may result in additional charges, or discontinuation of service. Also, please pull your pooch inside when we arrive to mow. If you can't be there during your scheduled service days, try to leave your pal inside. Your animal might be a great pet, but all the noise and the chaos from the lawn machines can turn the most benevolent bowser into a malicious attack dog.
Dry Weather:
During the hot summer months, lawns in our area tend to dry up and stop growing. During this period, Triad Lawn Care will do its best to determine whether or not your lawn needs mowing. If your lawn has not grown and/or is very dry, we have no problem skipping that week's mowing, or skipping mowing until the lawn picks up again. However, sometimes that is a borderline decision. Each customer has their own opinions of their lawn. It's often difficult to guess each customer's preference. If you feel that the lawn does not need mowing because of the dry weather, please call at least 2 days prior to your scheduled mowing to let us know. If we skip your mowing in a dry week and you would still like it done, give us a call and we will come back to mow your lawn.
Fall Leaf Coverage:
In our area the grass continues to grow for some time after leaves begin to fall from trees. During early fall when leaves begin to fall lightly we will continue to mow as normal mulching leaves with the cut grass. By the way, mulched leaves are also good fertilizer. Later in fall when leaves begin to cover lawns completely they become a problem for mowing and must be removed from the lawn before mowing. For those in the city limits they need only be raked or blown to a pile by the curb for pickup. For those outside the city limits they will need to be either taken to the landfill or disposed of by some other means. Weather we provide this service or someone else does it, it will be necessary to continue your mowing service during these months. Excessive amounts of leaves can damage the mowers.
Hauling:
If it is necessary for Triad Lawn Care to remove any waste from your property there will be a $36.00 per ton city landfill disposal fee. In addition to the disposal fee we will charge labor time and mileage from your property to the landfill at a rate of $25.00/hr and .50 per mile. These fees apply to one trip to the landfill. If it is necessary to make additional trips the fees and mileage will be charged for each trip.
Billing and Non-Payment:
Triad Lawn Care has two billing methods for our customers to choose from. You can receive your bill by U.S mail or by E-mail. Regardless of which you choose you will receive an invoice around the 1st of each month. This invoice will reflect charges that have been incurred in the previous month. Payment of the invoice is due 10 days after it's mailed. In the event payment has not been received by the due date a second notice will be sent. Service will be suspended if payment is not yet received 5 days after second notice was mailed. Payment will then be necessary to restart service. If payment has not been received by the 1st of the next month a lien will be filed against your property with The Superior Court Clerk in your County in the amount of the total due to date. With a lien against your property, Triad Lawn Care will need to be paid before you can do anything with the ownership such as sell the property or get a home equity loan. We do not have the time to spend taking deadbeat customers to small claims court. We have found the lien to be the best method for dealing with those that try to steal a few months of free lawn service. Its unfortunate, but necessary when you do business by handshake rather than with lengthy and wordy contracts.
